The Southern Oracle Records

The Green Flamingos are an eclectic, electric quintet set to explore lunar reveries and multicolored atmospheres through introspective and cathartic songs. They seek the perfect blend of pop, r'n'b, soul and psychedelia. The promise of a magical journey from darkness to light.

After a first EP in 2015 and a first LP "The Southern Oracle" in 2017 under the colors of Pop Club Records, The Green Flamingos founded their own independent label “The Southern Oracle Records” in 2020 and released their second LP "In The Witching Hour"in 2021.

The Green Flamingos are back with new singles "Count Your Lucky Stars", "Got The News (feat. Sasha Moore)", "Playing The Game", "The Storm" and "Low Key Down (feat. Sasha Moore)"to be released in 2024 on the label The Southern Oracle Records. Produced by Julien Garric and mixed by Gary Burke, these tracks mark a distinctive sonic shift, a sophisticated, kaleidoscopic blend of soul, pop and funk, weaving an expansive sonic thread towards The Green Flamingos duo's musical inspirations.

 

Multi-instrumentalist Julien Garric and singer Yoanna Claquin are both halves of The Green Flamingos, a project on the quest for sparkling balance of funk, soul and rock, and driven by the will to stay out of any boxes you’d like to keep them in.

 

This duo, both in the city and on stage, cut their teeth on Geneva's alternative music circuit with the elegant The Monkberry Moon Orchestra and electric Rebels of Tijuana. Their aim is to peel off any labels, shaping the sonic plasticity of pop by hijacking the cutting-edge production techniques of hip-hop and r'n'b to the benefit of their melodies, thanks to the excellent Gary Burke of Studio Funambule in Nyon.

 

The Green Flamingos, teaming up with a second singer (Sasha Moore) and a groovy rhythm section (Arnaud Bled and Anthony Salles, ex-The Rebels of Tijuana), have whipped up five new eclectic groove nuggets to be released in 2024 on all streaming platforms. These singles feature a sonic fluidity that blends elements of glorious soul, ecstatic r'n'b, honeyed pop, disco grooves, raw funk and gospel power into a package with immediate appeal.

 

Impertinent and resolutely prolific, The Green Flamingos now performs on stage in the company of a line-up with variable geometry.

The Green Flamingos est un projet éclectique et électrique explorant rêveries lunaires et ambiances multicolores à travers des chansons introspectives et cathartiques. Ils sont en quête de l’alliage parfait entre pop, r’n’b, soul et psychédélisme. La promesse d’un voyage magique de l'ombre à la lumière.

The Green Flamingos sont de retour avec cinq nouveaux singles sortant courant 2024 sur le label The Southern Oracle Records intitulés,"Count Your Lucky Stars", "Got The News (feat. Sasha Moore)", "Playing The Game", "The Storm" et "Low Key Down (feat. Sasha Moore)". Produits par Julien Garric et mixés par Gary Burke, ces titres marquent un changement sonore distinctif, mélange sophistiqué et kaléidoscopique de soul, de pop et de funk, tissant un fil sonique expansif vers les inspirations musicales les plus chatoyantes du duo The Green Flamingos. 

 

Le multi-instrumentaliste Julien Garric et la chanteuse Yoanna Claquin écrivent et composent ensemble The Green Flamingos, projet dans la quête d'un pétillant équilibre de funk, soul et rock et animé par la soif de décloisonner les boîtes dans lesquelles on aimerait l'enfermer. 

 

Ce duo, à la ville comme à la scène, a fait ses armes dans le circuit alternatif genevois auprès notamment des élégants The Monkberry Moon Orchestra ou électriques Rebels of Tijuana. Il entend s’affranchir de toutes les étiquettes, modelant la plasticité sonique d’une pop jugée parfois consensuelle en détournant les techniques de production du hip-hop ou du r’n’b de pointe au bénéfice de leurs mélodies, grâce à l'excellent Gary Burke du Studio Funambule à Nyon. 

 

The Green Flamingos, bien entourés d’une deuxième chanteuse (Sasha Moore) et d’une section rythmique groovy (Arnaud Bled et Anthony Salles, ex-The Rebels of Tijuana) ont concocté cinq nouvelles pépites de groove éclectiques qui sortiront en 2024 sur toutes les plateformes numériques. Ces singles se caractérisant par une fluidité sonique mêlant des éléments de soul glorieuse, de r'n'b extatique, de pop mielleuse, de grooves disco, de funk brut et de puissance gospel dans un ensemble à l'attrait immédiat. 

 

Impertinents et résolument prolifiques, The Green Flamingos performera désormais sur scène en compagnie d'un line-up à géométrie variable.
